The Dirty Work Pack (DWP) is designed to mitigate contamination risk to the main ROV hydraulic system by providing a fully isolated hydraulic oil circuit. This Smart edition incorporates electrically remote‑operated pressure regulation for enhanced control.
The Smart Dirty Work Pack is an Isolated Hydraulic Power Unit (IHPU) that integrates easily into existing ROV hydraulic systems, supplying isolated hydraulic power to tooling and equipment with a high contamination risk.
The unit features a variable‑displacement pump with selectable displacement from 16 to 28 cm³/rev. Integration with the ROV is straightforward, requiring only supply, return, and drain connections to an ROV valve‑pack function. The DWP can be supplied as a complete system, including oil filters and reservoirs/compensators, and may be configured as a rear‑mounted backpack or belly‑skid installation.
Typical applications include subsea HPU and reservoir systems, chemical injection units, subsea tooling, RWOCS operations, and high‑demand equipment such as excavators and trenchers.
