The Torque Multiplier Tool Gen‑2 is a compact and ROV‑friendly multiclass torque tool designed for operating Class 1–4 subsea valves and MQC plates in applications up to 1200 Nm.
The Torque Multiplier Tool (TMT) is a fully mechanical ROV‑manipulator/diver torque tool that requires no hydraulic or electric power or communication, reducing the risk of hydraulic fluid spills, hose management issues, and electrical cables. The tool is equipped with a mechanical latch system for a standard API 17D bucket. The Torque & Turns display is battery‑powered and can be turned on, off, or reset using flashing illumination.
The Torque Setting System (calibration/operation) allows the operator to adjust and verify torque output while subsea. The Torque Multiplier Tool also features a built‑in memory function that logs valve operations when required. Logging files are transferred to a laptop via a USB adaptor cable. Other end effectors are available upon request (e.g., paddle valves).
