The Magtrack 415 is a high-precision subsea cable tracking system designed for cable route surveys, trenching support, and burial assessment. GoSubsea offers the 1500 m depth-rated version for rental, providing reliable cable positioning and tracking in challenging offshore environments.
The system utilizes four compact sensors equipped with 3-axis magnetometers and inclinometers to accurately locate subsea cables, track their position in 3D, and determine burial depth. Installed on the front and rear of an ROV or trencher, the sensor configuration also enables cable slope monitoring and enhanced directional guidance.
At the heart of the system is the Subsea Electronics Module (SEM), which processes sensor data subsea and transmits both raw and processed data to the surface. The data can be integrated with survey software and other positioning systems, providing operators with a complete overview of cable location and burial status.
